Summer 2014
Give your kids, ages 5 to 14, a minds-on, hands-on, fun experience this summer at Helix, where we explore the world around us by asking questions and designing investigations. Our summer sessions offer a mix of free time to explore exhibits and structured time for investigations in our workshop. We encourage campers to take responsibility for their own learning in a supportive environment and enable them to practice the valuable skills of working and learning in groups and partnerships.
Each camp session is one week. Camp is on Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m.
Helix Summer Sessions: Ages 7–10 and 11–14
These sessions will focus on investigating things that campers are curious about! Working with a partner, campers will develop a project or mini-exhibit to investigate their own question, and will display the project at Helix the weekend following each session. During the first session, we’ll focus on investigating questions related to light and seeing; the second session, will focus on investigating questions related to life and earth systems.

Helix Summer Sessions: Ages 5-6
Using their senses, the arts, and language, campers will explore the world around them to answer their questions and try out their great ideas. The first session will focus on exploring light and sound; the second will focus on exploring life sciences.

August 11–August 15, 2014; 1:00- 4:00 p.m.: Sprouts & Snails
Price per Session
Exploratorium Members: $200
Nonmembers: $250
Each camp session is one week. Camp is on Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m.

Deposit amount per Helix Summer Session: $75
Cancellation and Refunds
A written notice of cancellation is required four weeks prior to the session start date to receive a full refund minus a $75 nonrefundable deposit per one-week of camp purchased. While we will do our best to accommodate customers in extraordinary circumstances, the Exploratorium will not refund payments for cancellations received less than four weeks before the session start date.
