Penumbra
Penumbra is an interactive installation that responds to movement in its environment. Without any human interaction, Penumbra is disguised as a decorative glass wall. However, each colored glass tile illuminates individually as sensors that respond to movements control LEDs behind the glass.
Saturday March 29th, 2:00PM: Artist talk and workshop. Join Romy and Lenore M. Edman, from Evil Mad Scientist, as they discuss the technology and art behind Penumbra. Workshop immediately following discussion.
Workshop details: Create your own Looma lamp. Using a cardboard template and LEDs make your own light box capable of creating hundreds of colors. Limited Supplies. Ages 8+ Workshop materials fee $25.
