Further exploring the materials behind Penumbra, we’ve invited Bullseye Glass Co. to teach us about their glass making process.  Join us as we explore different types of glass, learn about the techniques used to make it and the different way artists use it.  Followed by our final Looma lamp building workshop.  More about the workshop can be found here.

Penumbra by Looma

Penumbra is an interactive installation that responds to movement in its environment. Without any human interaction, Penumbra is disguised as a decorative glass wall. However, each colored glass tile illuminates individually as sensors that respond to movements control LEDs behind the glass.
