Students choose what exhibits to explore, and move on when they are ready. The exhibits at Helix will change over time, so be sure to ask us what will be there!

Helix educators may lead demonstrations for your students, such as dissections, botanical investigations, philosophical discussions, or explorations with our hand-held video microscope. Please let us know what you’re studying at school, and we’ll work with you to choose the right fit for your students.

Students may explore light-based phenomena in our light lab. This is a great space for creative play or deep investigations, depending on your students interests.

The spaces at Helix are easy to manage, so teachers have the opportunity to be learners alongside their students. Helix is also a great place for teachers to observe how their students learn science in a setting outside of school.

The design of the exhibits and activities at Helix encourage students to work collaboratively and learn together.

You may choose to add an inquiry workshop onto your visit, led by a Helix educator. Please ask us for more information about designing a program that supports your goals.
